Venezia Airport recognizes the sunflower symbol of the "Hidden Disabilities Sunflower®" program as a way to facilitate the identification and travel experience of passengers with hidden disabilities.
We understand that living with an invisible disability such as autism, anxiety, vision or hearing impairment, chronic pain or dementia can make the journey much more challenging.
For this reason passengers with hidden disabilities or their companions may request once they arrive at our airport to wear a lanyard with the sunflower symbol. In this way our staff will be able to discreetly recognize those passengers who may need more help, time and understanding during their stay at our airport.
Wearing the sunflower lanyard is a voluntary choice to enjoy a better airport experience and is available to everyone, both passengers who have requested special PRM assistance and those who wish to travel in complete autonomy while still receiving greater attention from our staff.
The sunflower lanyard can be requested at Venezia airport:
• in the Special Assistance room (first floor before security checks);
• at the Arrivals Information office (ground floor, arrivals area);
• to the PRM staff assigned to assistance
